Based on Makstton's 3D wheel-arch scan, factory ride-height measurements and verified installations, this guide covers wheel and tire fitment for the 2026 NIO EL8 (ES8): the 5×120 PCD, 62.55mm center bore, factory 22-inch wheel and tire specifications, measured fender clearance, the recommended 22- and 23-inch fitments and a verified 2023/2024 ES8 reference.

NIO markets this model as the EL8 in overseas markets and as the ES8 in China. Both names refer to the same vehicle, and every specification in this guide applies to both.

The 2026 NIO ES8 has a maximum permissible gross vehicle weight of 3,250kg and is equipped with factory air suspension. For a high-load vehicle of this size, wheel load rating, wheel position and dynamic clearance should be confirmed before considering the final appearance.

Recommended Wheel Load Rating

The NIO EL8 (ES8) has a maximum permissible gross vehicle weight of 3,250kg, and the factory wheel does not carry a marked load rating. MAKSTTON therefore derives the target from the vehicle's maximum permitted mass using a safety factor of 1.3:

3,250kg ÷ 4 × 1.3 = 1,056kg per wheel

MAKSTTON recommended minimum: at least 1,050kg per wheel, front and rear.

Load capacity should never be traded for lower wheel weight or a more aggressive wheel position. Confirm the final value against the exact vehicle version before ordering.
