MAKSTTON CUSTOMER SUPPORT

Limited Warranty

This Limited Warranty is provided by Jiaxing Tangdong Auto Parts Co., Ltd. under the MAKSTTON WHEEL brand (referred to below as MAKSTTON). It applies to new wheel products purchased through the MAKSTTON international website or an authorized MAKSTTON sales channel.

MAKSTTON warrants that, under normal and reasonable use consistent with the product's intended design, the wheels will be free from defects in materials and workmanship during the applicable warranty period. This is a limited warranty. It does not cover accidents, collisions, road impacts, incorrect installation, misuse, overloading, unauthorized repair or modification, normal wear, or normal changes in appearance.

1. Warranty Periods

Warranty Period Coverage
Structural Limited Warranty 10 years Structural issues caused by defects in materials or workmanship
Finish Limited Warranty 2 years Abnormal finish issues caused by manufacturing or finishing-process defects

The warranty period begins on the date the products are delivered to the original purchaser. Unless applicable law provides otherwise, this commercial warranty applies only to the original retail purchaser and does not automatically transfer when the products are resold or ownership changes. Valid proof of purchase may be required.

2. Structural Warranty Coverage

Under normal use consistent with the product's intended design, the following conditions may qualify for structural warranty service when MAKSTTON's review of the order records, photographs, video, test results, and other reasonable evidence confirms a defect in materials or workmanship, including but not limited to:

  • Abnormal cracking of a spoke, rim, or other structural area caused by a material or manufacturing defect.
  • Abnormal air leakage from a wheel sealing area caused by a manufacturing defect.
  • A center bore, bolt hole, or other critical dimension that is clearly outside the design tolerance because of a manufacturing or machining issue.
  • Abnormal wheel roundness or machining accuracy confirmed by testing before a tire has been mounted.
  • Another structural issue reasonably confirmed as a defect in materials or workmanship.

A bent, cracked, or otherwise structurally damaged wheel is not automatically evidence of a manufacturing defect. Damage showing clear evidence of a collision, pothole, curb, road debris, accident, or other external force is generally outside structural warranty coverage.

3. Finish Warranty Coverage

Under normal use, correct cleaning, and reasonable maintenance, the following conditions may qualify for finish warranty service when a reasonable review confirms a manufacturing or finishing-process defect:

  • Abnormal widespread peeling or blistering of the coating.
  • Abnormal failure of the clear protective coating.
  • Abnormal oxidation or corrosion not caused by external damage.
  • Another issue confirmed as a manufacturing or finishing-process defect.

The following are not covered by the finish warranty:

  • Paint chips, scratches, or impacts caused by stones, road debris, curbs, car-wash brushes, or other external forces.
  • Damage caused by tire mounting or removal, balancing equipment, or incorrect installation procedures.
  • Damage caused by strong acids, strong alkalis, corrosive cleaners, or other inappropriate chemical products.
  • Finish changes caused by brake dust, road salt, or other corrosive contaminants that have not been cleaned for an extended period.
  • Finish abnormalities caused by cleaning while the wheel is hot.
  • Minor color variation, aging, wear, or gloss changes caused by normal use.
  • Problems caused by repainting, color changes, re-powder-coating, or another finish treatment not authorized by MAKSTTON.

For special finishes without a clear protective coating or other protective layer, including bare aluminum or bare polished aluminum, appearance changes caused by the natural oxidation of the material are not covered by the finish warranty. Reasonable differences in color, texture, or gloss between product photographs, renderings, display devices, hand-applied finishes, or different production batches do not automatically constitute a manufacturing defect.

4. Installation and Use Requirements

To maintain warranty eligibility, the wheels must be installed and used correctly in accordance with the MAKSTTON Wheel Installation Guide and the requirements of the vehicle, tire, and related component manufacturers, including:

  • Using the correct wheel specification, vehicle fitment data, and tire size.
  • Not exceeding the wheel's marked design load and maintaining appropriate tire pressure.
  • Using bolts, lug nuts, hub-centric rings, spacers, and other accessories of the correct specification and seat type.
  • Using the correct tightening torque required by the vehicle manufacturer.
  • Keeping the wheel mounting face and the vehicle hub mounting face clean and flat.
  • Completing any required bolt or lug-nut torque recheck specified in the installation guide.

Problems caused by incorrect installation, incorrect accessories, improper torque, an incompatible vehicle application, an incorrect tire size, abnormal tire pressure, or exceeding the design load are not manufacturing-quality issues.

5. Off-Road, Track, and Competition Use

For wheels expressly designed for off-road use, normal and reasonable non-competition off-road use within the product's design limits will not automatically void warranty eligibility merely because the vehicle has been driven on an unpaved road.

Damage directly caused by rocks, potholes, steps, jump landings, accidents, rollovers, exceeding the design load, off-road competition, or another obvious external impact is not a manufacturing defect. Normal scratches, impacts, and paint chips created in an off-road environment are not covered by the finish warranty.

Unless a specific product is expressly identified otherwise in writing, damage resulting from track driving, racing events, timed events, drifting competitions, off-road competitions, or other competitive use is not covered by this Limited Warranty.

6. Conditions Not Covered

  • Damage caused by potholes, curbs, road debris, accidents, collisions, fire, vandalism, or another external cause.
  • A bent wheel showing clear impact or collision marks.
  • Damage caused by incorrect installation or removal, tire mounting, or balancing procedures.
  • Problems caused by incorrect bolts, lug nuts, spacers, hub-centric rings, or other accessories.
  • Damage caused by exceeding the wheel's design load or by an incorrect tire size, tire pressure, or vehicle setup.
  • Problems caused by incorrect vehicle, brake, suspension, or other fitment information supplied by the customer.
  • Unauthorized enlargement of holes, machining of the center bore, offset changes, drilling, cutting, welding, or other machining.
  • Straightening, heat repair, welding repair, or another repair that may affect structural performance.
  • Unauthorized disassembly or adjustment of the structural fasteners of a multi-piece or modular wheel.
  • Wear, scratches, color differences, or appearance aging caused by normal use.
  • Further damage caused by continuing to use the product after an abnormal condition is discovered.

Safety Notice: If a crack, abnormal air leak, visible deformation, persistent abnormal vibration, or another condition that may affect safety is found, stop using the vehicle immediately and contact MAKSTTON.

7. Custom-Made Products and Fitment Responsibility

Custom wheels are manufactured according to the specifications finally confirmed by the customer. The customer must provide true, accurate, and complete vehicle, brake, suspension, and modification information and must check the Final Specification Confirmation Sheet before production.

If information or a specification supplied by the customer is incorrect and the relevant data has been confirmed by the customer, the resulting fitment issue is not a product manufacturing-quality issue. This does not exclude customer support or warranty responsibility where the actual product does not match the confirmation sheet, MAKSTTON shipped the wrong product, a manufacturing defect is confirmed, or a fitment solution expressly provided and confirmed by MAKSTTON was incorrect.

8. Making a Warranty Claim

If you believe a wheel has an issue covered by this Limited Warranty, contact MAKSTTON first and provide the following information as requested:

  • Order number, proof of purchase, product model, and specifications.
  • Product identification, serial number, or production-batch information, where applicable.
  • Make, model, year, version or trim, and tire size of the vehicle on which the wheel was installed.
  • How the product was being used when the issue occurred.
  • Photographs or video showing the affected area and the overall condition of the wheel.
  • Other information reasonably required by MAKSTTON to determine the cause.

Do not return a wheel to China or to any other address without prior confirmation from MAKSTTON. We will first conduct a preliminary review using photographs, video, order records, and other information. If the available information is insufficient, we may request additional evidence, testing by a qualified local organization, or delivery of the wheel to a designated location for further inspection.

9. International Warranty Handling

Because wheels are large and heavy products, a warranty claim involving an international order will not always require the original wheel to be returned to China. MAKSTTON will determine the handling method according to the nature of the issue, product value, shipping cost, local conditions, and the evidence required to determine the cause.

When a defect in materials or workmanship covered by this Limited Warranty is confirmed, MAKSTTON may provide one of the following solutions according to the circumstances:

  • Replacement of the individual affected wheel.
  • A reasonable substitute product if the original model is unavailable.
  • A partial or full refund according to the extent of the issue.
  • Another reasonable solution agreed by both parties and consistent with applicable local law.

If local testing is required, the testing organization, scope, and cost must be approved by MAKSTTON in writing before the cost is incurred. If the issue is ultimately confirmed as covered by this Limited Warranty, MAKSTTON will pay the reasonable testing cost approved in advance.

If MAKSTTON requires a confirmed warranty product to be returned, we will provide the applicable arrangement or shipping instructions and pay the reasonable standard warranty shipping cost approved in advance. International shipping, expedited shipping, or other additional costs incurred without prior approval are not automatically reimbursable.

If a physical return is not required, MAKSTTON may require evidence from a qualified local organization showing that the affected product has been scrapped, destroyed, or permanently removed from use. If testing confirms that the issue is not covered by this Limited Warranty, the customer may be responsible for further testing, return, or re-delivery costs to the extent permitted by applicable law.

10. Warranty Remedies and Replacement Products

Warranty service applies to the specific wheel with the confirmed issue. Unless the complete set has the same confirmed manufacturing defect or applicable law provides otherwise, an issue affecting one wheel does not automatically qualify the entire set for replacement.

A replacement wheel will generally have the same model, diameter, size, specification, and finish as the original product. Minor differences in color or gloss may exist within a reasonable range because of production batches, time in service, and natural aging.

If the original model, specification, or finish has been discontinued or is unavailable, MAKSTTON may offer the same model in another compatible finish, a substitute model of equivalent value and performance, an appropriate refund, or another reasonable solution.

A wheel replaced under this Limited Warranty remains covered only for the unexpired portion of the original product's warranty period. Replacement does not restart a full 10-year Structural Limited Warranty or 2-year Finish Limited Warranty, unless applicable law provides otherwise.

11. Other Costs and Losses

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, this Limited Warranty primarily covers the MAKSTTON wheel itself when it has a manufacturing defect. Unless applicable law provides otherwise, the warranty generally does not cover tire mounting or removal, balancing, installation or removal labor, vehicle downtime, rental vehicles, transportation, accommodation, travel, competition activities, loss of business, or other indirect or incidental losses.

This policy does not exclude or limit liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, personal injury, product liability, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded.

12. Unauthorized Channels and Second-Hand Products

Unless applicable law provides otherwise, this commercial Limited Warranty applies only to new products purchased through the MAKSTTON international website or an authorized MAKSTTON sales channel and only to the original retail purchaser. Products purchased through unauthorized channels, products without valid proof of purchase, and second-hand or resold products may not qualify for this commercial warranty.

For products purchased through an authorized dealer, contact the original seller first to make a warranty claim. The dealer will assist with the subsequent process.

13. Statutory Rights

This Limited Warranty is a commercial warranty provided by MAKSTTON. It does not replace any statutory rights available to consumers under the law applicable at the place of purchase or use. If this policy conflicts with mandatory local consumer-protection law, the mandatory local law will prevail.
