Tokyo

In January 2025, we traveled to Japan. Alongside a visit to the Tokyo Auto Salon, we met MAKSTTON owners living in Japan and photographed their cars.

From central Tokyo to the foot of Mount Fuji, we worked with the owners to capture their cars in a range of settings. A full day and night of shooting was tiring, but reaching those locations, meeting customers from far away and completing the shoot together made it well worth the effort.

Our special thanks go to Mr. Li for his support and cooperation, and to Curry, a BMW owner, for providing a camera car to help us complete the shoot. During the trip, we also photographed another customer in Japan: Mr. Fan’s BMW X7, documenting his wheel setup and the car’s overall style.

Seeing familiar wheels on foreign streets and meeting the owners who use them was a special experience. Attending the show, photographing their cars and speaking with customers face to face made this trip to Japan fulfilling and unforgettable. Thank you all for your trust and help. The images we created together have also become a record of the journey we made side by side.
