Suzhou GT Show

In 2020, we took part in Suzhou GT Show. It was our first year of transition, made more difficult by the COVID-19 pandemic. Moving from factory operations to trading and brand management meant changing our supplier network and rethinking many familiar ways of working. We were adapting to those changes while finding our next direction.

Our product range was changing too. We worked to shift our cast wheel lineup from traditional gravity-cast products to flow-formed wheels across the range. We also began investing in our own product designs and introduced the MST 715, the first wheel designed by our team. It turned the ambition to create something of our own into a tangible product, marking a memorable step early in the transition.

At the show, we met industry peers, shared experiences and listened to different perspectives. For a team adapting to a new way of doing business, those conversations offered fresh ways to look at our products and the market.

These photographs record the exhibition and MAKSTTON’s efforts to change through a difficult period. The first year was far from easy. From restructuring our supplier network to bringing our own designs to life, every step required time and commitment.
